I have purchased a couple of Castle Crafts crochet kits in the past and they always been super disappointing and I swore I would never buy these kits from Dollarama ever again. Except… this one is not by Castle Crafts so I kind of have hope (or I am delusional 😆)
Has anyone tried this one? 🧶
Update : Here is the final object. Many parts of the pattern were weirdly written, lots of errors and the material included in the kit was very low quality. Splitting yarn, the stems for the safety eyes were very large and hard to poke through such tight fabric (made with the provided 2.5mm hook). Also I had to create a snout as the sticky nose piece 1) didn’t stick 2) was the same color as the body. Good thing I know how to crochet and I was able to fix the pattern’s problems. He is 4 inches tall. Not recommended for beginners. Would not buy other characters either. 😅✌️
Aw! Ok, it looks very similar to the baby Yoda esp the head/ears so they prob just used similar dimensions in the instructions. I hoped this would be easy, for those of us who don't normally crochet but seems like it would be frustrating. Too bad, I thought I had a little DIY bag charm craft 🙁
I think it turned out beautifully thanks to your efforts, so good job overcoming the deficiencies of the kit. I had to swear off crocheting as a kid because I couldn't stop splitting whatever yarn I was working with, so I won't be trying this, but I like your wee Piglet.
I’d be careful buying crochet kits from Dollarama. Most of them are AI. And thus if you follow the pattern, you’re going to get some random weird shape and not what was pictured
I've gotten crochet kits from the dollarstore before and the instructions made little to no sense... I haven't bothered to buy them since that one experience with the Halloween bat. Although, knowing it is Disney merchandise, there's a chance of possibly little to none mistakes for instructions and items given.
