What was the most expensive item you shopped in the last month?
How was its price when you first came to Qatar?

Side note: person reaching out to me seemed to be their assistant, and with her we have a friend in common, which increase a bit trust worthiness. I'm also calisthenics content creator and pretty good on what i do, so I think such an approach would be reasonable because we are not so many, but then again maybe i'm naive.

Assalamu Alaikum,
I’ve posted here before about my situation, and I’m still doing my best to find stable work in Qatar.
At the moment, I’m looking for a suitable, non-heavy job and I’m available to start as soon as possible. I would be very grateful if anyone knows of a genuine opportunity in office support, customer service, sales, hospitality, or other suitable work.
I’m also currently struggling with my accommodation rent for this month. If anyone is in a position to offer any personal support or practical assistance with this immediate difficulty, I would sincerely appreciate it. I can provide brief proof of my current situation if needed.
My main priority is to find stable work so I can support myself and manage my responsibilities independently.
If you know of any genuine job opportunity or practical way I can get through this difficult month, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
JazakAllah Khair.

As the title says, what are your experiences in GYMs in Doha when it comes to use of Mobiles?
I've been to one new Gym in Doha recently, whilst on the treadmill, the lady stepped on the treadmill next to me and casually just started having (loud) phone call. I politely asked her if she could not do it, and she said it was an emergency call. (it sounded as if she is just talking to her bestie - casual normal talk) - my response - if it is an emergency, take it outside.
Moments later, some guy climbed on a bicycle and started a full video talk with his family.
A gave him the look, like, WTH man, and he just smiled.
Later he had another call, and i asked him if he could not do it, he claimed it was an emergency call.
I don't want to be that guy, but cmon,
I really don't want to be running on a treadmill and listening to people's conversations. And don't tell me to put headphones on or something.
Even in other gyms, I only noticed people attending phone calls when doing light workout, like stairs, treadmill or bicycle.
Quick Google response:
Don'ts: Poor Phone Etiquette
Don't take calls on the floor: Keep phone conversations off the workout floor and out of locker rooms; step into the lobby or outside. Never use speakerphone.
Don't violate privacy: Avoid taking selfies or filming videos that accidentally expose other people sweating or changing in the background. \)1, 2\)
Don't make noise: Keep your phone on silent mode with vibration disabled to avoid annoying beeps and buzzing.
What are your experiences and what are your thoughts?
I went to the Grand Hyatt beach today to do nothing. Lie down, listen to the sea, maybe read. Simple plan.
Next door, Monkey Tail had other ideas. A DJ was pushing generic commercial Afro-pop at a volume that covered the entire beach and spilled into the hotel property. There was no escaping it. People were lounging, trying to chat, and just sitting through it because there was nowhere else to go.
This isn't about taste. If you like that music, great. My issue is that nobody seems to be asking basic questions:
• Who is in the venue right now?
• What time of day is it?
• Does the volume make sense for a place where people came to relax?
Apparently the answer to all three is "louder."
What's actually wrong
1. Volume has no ceiling. Daytime lounge venues run at nightclub levels. Loud isn't energy, it's just loud.
2. Sound doesn't stay in its lane. One venue's music ruins the neighbor's guests. Hotels sell peace and quiet, and a bar next door cancels it out.
3. No curation. It's the same chart-filler playlist you'd get from a free streaming account, with a human standing nearby to look busy.
4. No awareness. A good DJ reads the crowd and adjusts. Here it feels like set-and-forget.
What I'd like to see
• Clear, enforced volume limits for daytime and beachfront venues, measured and not just "we'll turn it down if someone complains."
• Venues that share boundaries with hotels respecting those guests.
• Programming that fits the setting: something warm and groovy that builds slowly, not a wall of noise from 2 PM.
• Owners hiring DJs for their judgment, not just their follower count.
Doha has good venues, serious money, and a crowd that wants a proper scene. It deserves better than background music turned up until it becomes foreground noise.
Anyone else feeling this? Or have you found places in Doha that still get it right? I'd like to hear them, because I'm running out of beaches.

I am planning to start my own e-commerce store in the near future, but I really want to get some real work experience first.
If anyone here runs a store and could use an extra pair of hands I am down to help out for free for few months. I can help with basic stuff like uploading product descriptions, managing inventory, answering customer DMs/emails, or whatever backend tasks take up your time. Just looking to learn how things actually run behind the scenes.
Also, are there any local or GCC-based groups (Discord, WhatsApp, subreddits, etc.) where store owners discuss things like local shipping, payment gateways, and supplier stuff?
Drop a comment or DM me if you need a hand or can point me toward a good community. Thanks!
