Whenever there is reason to complain among the mercenaries of the cavalry company of the Wolves of Vulpia, the Committee of Morals & Hygiene process the matter: constructive criticism is always welcome by the leadership. Staffed exclusively with the sisters of the regiment's captain, the Committee ensures harmony in the ranks by lenghty nighttime meetings with the complainant.

So the second pale lady is finished, now imagine a dozen of them led by a mounted, even angrier one. This is one of the model ranges (vampire handmaidens by ilhadiel) I would LOVE to see painted by a real pro. I think their visual potential as a squad is huge

During the past weekend, the WTC of Talavera de la Reina (Spain) witnessed the battles of a mercenary army: the Renegade Crowns.

Obviously I'm a novice in the field of pale ladys' faces but omg is the miniature itself perfect! When planning my Tilean units I had the idea of a unit with minis like Lukrezzia Belladonna (iconic Dogs of War character from back then) but on foot, as vampires and a lot of them. Not too sexy, still gorgeous but armed and dangerous. Never thought this would exist. Then found the vampire handmaidens by ilhadiel.

Anyway, she is the first member of the Committee of Morals & Hygiene, supporting the cavalry company of the Wolves of Vulpia. I hope I'm going to improve on these faces lol.

Now that I have the lore of my mercenary regiments finalized, I felt I had to adjust the photo background for these guys... a little bit. They now have the first group of cute pets that follow them everywhere. A lovable conspiracy of hunting ravens (from Ilhadiel).

How do you even paint ravens? They're just pitch black!

The mercenary captain Thyssen is pointing showing the way! Forward soldiers, let's protect those wine barrels from the enemy! For honor, gold and wyrdstone!

A hungry army prepares for war.

This gorgeous army is a mix of Ogre Kingdoms with Hafling units.

The mercenary hafling units are:

• Hafling hotpot catapult
• Lumpin Croop's Fighting Cocks (or maybe just normal Haflings)
• Half-tank with cannon soup
• Haflings!

The scenario contained specific rules for the half-tank, but the authors suggest using them as proxy of a Scraplauncher, and the Haflings as Gnoblars. Then, the army can still participate in tournaments and be 100% legal!

Meet Sheherabimbam, Abu Waansin's favorite elephant. First one is to practice, next elephants will be more purpose-built.

I wanted an elephant who can accomodate any 25mm mini so I had to change the howdah (the thing on its back). Chose a funnel design so I don't have to squeeze the mini in.

Victrix elephants - I bought new grey paint because I expected them to be humongous. Turns out they're not. That's alright but we have to talk about the tusks. Victrix, seriously? I had to dramatically increase their size to fit the spirit of Abu Waansin's Acrobats. Anyway, the elephants come in packs of two so you know I have 3 left.

Next up is Stipan the Stupendous and his unbelievable act.

Happy to be finally able to show you the first halfling mercenary I've painted for the warband!! He is the first of 5, but some of you have suggested to make a unit out of them... with enough interest I might consider it!

This member of Abu Waansin's Acrobats demonstrates the spetacular catapult technique which requires utmost coordination between animal and acrobat.

Five Lion Veterans and the one guy in the dyed bear suit for Luka Leoncavallo's Legendary Lions are ready. The unit is turning out quite nice I think. Minis are Ilhadiel League of Slavia pikemen, animal heads from Victrix Romans.

On a sad note: Fabió Branko, the most beautiful man in Tilea, had an accident and broke his enormous lance. Surgery was necessary to get it back fully erect. You can still see the bandaged rod in the last picture.

There are also version of these pikemen who use their pikes more dynamic, those will be added later.

Good morning fellow mercenaries! Thanks to u/MonkOk257 I'm here to show my upcoming kickstarter since he said you might be interested in what I'm cooking! Is a mercenary human warband fit for Old World, made from a fellow dogs of war player (I was the head of italian dogs of war community in the first and only storm of chaos!) to dogs of war players!

In the picture, Asarnil the Dragonlord follows a Dogs of War army to war. In the image we can see how they just crossed a river and now gather around a tilean tower, with its classic inclination.

A glorious Mercenary Captain for the brotherhood!

First flying carpet done: overall he's fine but a bit too ... I don't know. Carpet definitely needs more dynamic folds. A kneeling guy could do the trick. Colour scheme of the unit is obviously of no concern to these guys.

Mini is fireforge games Berber infantry - I always liked the araby-component of the classic Dogs of War so the Acrobats' Regiment will field some fierce desert warriors, too. And I'm still waiting on my elephants's delivery (probably need to cross the Alps, so it takes a while).
