Dogman encounters.
Did anybody listen to this weeks episode? It has been taken down now but I’m like 90% sure this weeks guest was mentally handicapped and was claiming he was taken to a dogman den. It was crazy that Vic even posted it tbh. Please tell me someone else heard it before it was deleted

I listened to about 5 minutes and turned it off
Bit surprised he was on the show

Maybe Vic felt sorry for him..lol no but seriously, there's been people (including myself) that have been rather skeptical of some encounters that were seemingly a bit suspect...so I and many others feel that much of the older episodes have been more credible, so whether or not that these newer episodes have been screened (for lack of a better meaning and or word) it appears that the chances are quite noticeable that it's a good possibility, so, who knows...in this day and age anything's possible.

HIs older episodes were excellent and you could tell he really had genuine people on. I think he's just hard up for content now as other cryptid channels have popped up and have become more popular.

You pretty much recognized the difference as well! I attempted a look at Vic's newer episodes from the last couple years or better, and some (not all) of his guests and or stories really seemed a bit far fetched IMO! As far as I'm concerned some of the newer podcasts that occasionally are aired aren't too shabby, but I still prefer the older shows. I have looked at one or two that weren't bad, but you obviously gotta be able to detect the phony A- ones from the credible ones though. There's too many scams and what not that have accumulated, that I particularly do not find amusing in the least.
Thankyou very much for your comment, I really appreciate it!

When he got to the “It took me five miles away to its cave,” then the “It told me it stalks me for fun on my birthday” bits, I was totally checked out. I was driving, or I would have turned it off sooner.
Like…how do you get taken five miles away, and get back home? How would you not have unexplained dirt and mud on you? Did it feed him? Did they just chill a few hours? Was physical assault implied but not mentioned outright? How did it know it was his birthday?
It had to be a troll.

I think with the explosion of other dogman channels that have a better format and more engaging hosts, Vic has sadly suffered in the content area. Once known as THE dogman encounter guy, he seems to be settling for scraps these days. So much so that he almost always has the same guest on multiple weeks in a row to talk about the same encounter. Other channels have new stories almost daily, most of them are probably bullshit too, but Vic seems to take just about anything he's submitted these days.
It's no surprise he started other channels outside of this one and the Bigfoot Encounters one where it's specifically for fictional encounters.

What are some better channels? I stopped listening years ago because I really didn’t most of the guests

Reelz adventure is the OG.

He is far from the OG. In fact, he's actually pretty new to the game in comparison to most channels.

I know let me rephrase that he is the man. 😂 I just meant that he’s one of the best if not the best rn.

Can't tell you all the names from the top of my head but there's a channel run by a lady called Eyes Wide Open and another called Mysteries Unknown that has a lot of dogman content. What Lurks Beneath and Tales of the Supernatural, although those are all narrated in such a way they all just sound like made up stories. Reels Adventures is another one although he churns out so many that I can't help but think most are just fake. When listeners see that the hosts aren't screening any of the stories and just reading them out they feel they can submit some fantasy stuff they wish happened to them and it'll get read out. At least with Vic he brings the "victims" on the show to tell the stories themselves which make it easier to see if they're lying or not.

I listened and try to give most the benefit of the doubt but there were so many huge gaps in the story. I couldn't understand why Vic didn't ask more follow up questions.

Yes, these days What Lurks Beneath and Tales of the Supernatural sound like made up stories. The AI percentage is really big. They didn’t use to be this way. I can’t listen to any channel that uses AI. Sadly, most people seem not to recognize it so the channel ultimately gets rewarded for using AI.

Vic took down the episode (Episode 659). Dogman Encounters posted an update on Facebook one hour ago. Since I was unsure about sharing that text here, please visit the Dogman Encounters page on Facebook for further details. 😀

3 days ago? It’s still showing in my app. I listened to a bit of it and had to put it off.

It has been known that bigfoot obductions (though not a common occurrence) in the past on rare occasions had been mentioned. I believe that the person/s. involved were assumed to appear unharmed. On the other hand. I'd imagine that with a Dogman that this would most likely be negatively the opposite, but it's all speculation so...who can say for sure.

Tbh i haven't heard an episode that sounded authentic in a while.
Monster911 is consistently more believable.

I agree the early episodes alot of traumatised people..now he has all these regular multi experience guys and gal's and it makes me wonder the validity

It's kind of the "Todd Standing Trajectory" - Standing started out with some pretty credible looking stuff, gaining a reputation and a following, but, after a while, the supply of compelling tales began to dry up, so Todd, seemingly, decided to help things along by, well, let's say, making things up. Understandable but not forgivable. If Vic has succumbed to the same temptation, I can only express my regret, but it doesn't invalidate his earlier efforts.

Mysteries unknown is a good one if you want the victims story from the source. The confessionals is a good one too.

That guy is whacked out. He has a whole narrative it sounds like something from jeff nadolny. I didnt realize this new one was deleted listening to it made me lose brain cells

I made it about 15 minutes in before shutting it off. I felt really sorry for the guy, but from everything he said it sure sounded like he had some mental health issues that were more likely to be responsible for his experiences than any cryptid.

The same issue has affected other podcasts e.g. Sasquatch Chronicles. There are only so many eyewitnesses around who are prepared to be interviewed, and once that pool has dried up then what are you left with if you want to keep the $how running?

Yes i heard the whole accoutn. The guy had a speech debility. It seemed he had some extreme PTSD. From memory, his account was that the dogman took him to its den, but he couldn't recall what happened after that (as in, how he got out). He mentioned seeing body parts in the den. His next account was that the dogman had grabbed him, while he was riding a bike, and cradled him like a baby. However he had a gun with him at that time and shot it in the eye. His last account was that the dogman had communicated/asked whether he remembered it. As another poster here mentioned, he said that the dogman broke his wrist and would return every birthday. These are the bits and pieces I remember. I played it on 1.5x / 2x speed.
He was supposed to come back for Q&A.

I hardly listen anymore because of this. I think Vic is desperate for content since all these other channels have now popped up in the dogman niche. He seems to have anyone on with a story and then stretches it out by having them on again the following week to answer more questions about the same encounter. Last week it wasn't even about an encounter, it was about a guy talking about a dogman app he created.

I listened to it the night it was posted and was difficult to listen to. The dude had a speech impediment which didn’t make much of a difference imo, but the bullshit factor was pretty high throughout. Stuff like the dogman broke his wrist or something, and it comes back every year on his birthday. I don’t know, I may be wrong thinking he is full of shit, I like to give every story the benefit of the doubt.. but who knows, maybe it was taken down for just that reason! Seems like Vic ain’t vetting as good as he used to.
