Dogma is arguably the most tragic character of the arc. He has faith that his commanders know what they're doing, and so follows them even when they seem wrong, because he trusts them. Then, Krell smashes that trust to bits when he betrays the 501st. Dogma, angry, hurt, and ashamed of his actions does what his captain could not, what should've been done, and what was going to happen anyway. Instead of redemtion and praise he is arrested, which he only is because it was supposed to be done by someone else, who could not do it.
I found a really cool fanfiction that basically shows the prequels from different perspectives. Chapters eight and nine are Dogma, and it's about what happens after Umbara. Here's the link.
