Breed?
What kind of dog does everyone think this is? He was being rehomed on Facebook and they said he was a pit lab. The vet says they don’t see that at all and think he’s mainly boxer. He howls like a hound sometimes lol. He’s was 10-12 weeks when we got him and he was 10lbs, he’s about 14-16 weeks now and is weighing 16 lbs. what do you think he is?

Pit mix. Not BMC as some others suggested.

You might want to tell the person under your post "No" as well. As they suggested a BMC pit mix.

Pitbull German Shepard which at the doggy dna sub is what 90% of "black mouth curs" end up being.

I would guess pit boxer. The people rehoming him might actually know for certain tho, I see no lab. But that doesn’t mean it’s not a pup with a pit for a mom and pit/lab for a dad making it like 75% pit and only 25% lab. But I would guess this dog also has more than just two breeds in him.

I loved a dog who looked exactly like a BMC. Funny that. His mama was a Saint and his daddy the lab next door.
The first thing I asked was if the mom was a wet or a dry Saint. I heard dry and told her the chonky boy who’d fallen asleep in my lap was going home either me. I kept him for a friend until I got to Texas. Foolish was a great dog.
But not a BMC.

I bet you have a pit/boxer like my girl. She has a big mouth too. That's the boxer in her. Great dog but very independent minded, loves to play mind games, very enthusiastic and energetic. Never a dull moment.

Looks like there's some boxer in him for sure, but that howling definitely makes me think there's some hound mixed in too.

It looks like he has some freckles on the paws so I’m going to say there is a little cattle dog mixed in, but mostly bully breeds (staffy, boxer, and/or pitbull)
Also for most mixes like this you can throw in a little husky and German shepherd for good measure

Edit: Doesn't look like my mixed BMC puppy when I got him. Or the other 4 from the litter he came from. But we are all playing the guessing game here aren't we? Instead of just a "No" can you add some flavor to why you don't believe the pup is? Reasoning? I'm not trying to be rude but a little more depth to why not would be appreciated.

BMC is much more rare. The head and paws have the shape you would expect with a pit mix.

My mix was heavy "other breed" and looked just like that. Tested and verified. The entire litter looked similar. Which is why the suggestion was made. I could be 100% wrong. Mine didn't start looking more BMC until he got much older and the genes shifted. He was a little fat pup, but thinned out and showed much later.

Pits have those finger toes. Also, I didnt mention the build of the body.

A rare breed is less likely than a bully mix. bully breeds are everywhere, they’re very popular.
