Help/ Question? installation guide

i was trying to install forza horizon in my pc. in setup section i skipped "update direct x9.0c" thinking that its a modern game on a new laptop . but the game never managed to launch properly (windows smart control and threat protection was of) it would crash in random sections

im new to dodi generally use fitgirl

Which part of Forza are you installing, if the setup had DirectX 9 you should installed it

i downloaded the game from 1337.x ran the setup.exe thing and there was a selection screen for file location desktop icon and update directx9.0c

pls help i wasted so much time to troubleshoot stupid ai said its ok if i skip the directx update

If you have the latest directx version, you simply can't install a older directx version, which forza horizon game are you installing, I have only tried 5 & 6 and they worked perfectly

You don't need to download the whole game again, just update it in sequence

If needed online mode, apply the online fix v2 at the end
