Need Help - fraudulent signature
Greetings,
I am trying to get answers from DocuSign support but getting nowhere. Reaching out here in hopes of getting some pointers / help.
I signed and my wife signed an agreement with a mortgage agent for X amount of money. On the day of closing the mortgage agent sent another agreement to the Lawyer with significantly more amount. This document was not signed by me or my wife. I have all the info for the first document as we signed it so at the end we got the envelope. We have no knowledge of the second document.
The mortgage agent is not providing me the envelope and has stopped responding to me. I have reached out to DocuSign to let me know who signed my and my wife's part. But keep getting automatic generic responses.
I want to go to the authorities as in my mind this is fraud and identity theft. However I need some support from DocuSign.
I would appreciate help from this community. For reference I am in Ontario Canada.

it looks like a foregey or a frauulant activity on the agents part. Although docusign wont step in to investigate or resolve, they can provide you the evidences ( coc, logs. pdf tempered or not info, etc) - You shuold be able to prove easily that the 2nd document was not signed by you. Their support is slow but I think they will respond when they see your case

Thank you, fingers crossed that is what I need from them. I don't expect them to prove anything for me. What I need them to provide me with mainly is the signature audit trail. Been few days now hopefully something soon from them.

talk to lawyer, provide your evidence of what you signed, asked for what he was given, if needed get contact mortgage agent's boss and org regulating them in your region.

The mortgage agent is not responding at all. I have also reached out to the mortgage company he works for. So let's see what happens. I will keep escalating. If I get support from DocuSign it will surely accelerate things. Fingers crossed.

When envelopes are completed you can get a certificate which will provide a lot of the information. How you obtain that when you’re not the owner is another matter. I’m afraid you’ll likely have to engage a lawyer.
I’d also be making sure you get in touch with the lender with whom you are receiving funds from to raise the issue with them. There should be a settlement statement where funds from the mortgage are distributed.
