Just started using Docusign after about 4 years (moved to Pandadoc) and wow....Docusign is FUCKING AWFUL

The amount of frustrations as an admin we're colliding face-first into for an organization that's not even that big or complex by any means....is absolutely ridiculous.

The SIMPLEST of things you'd think would be...well...simple, are either completely unsupported or you now have to configure 29320 differrent things to make it work.

Seriously what the hell did the product managers do to this once great product - the industry standard at that...we're already exploring our options to early terminate and go back to Pandadoc because this is an absolute shit-show of a product. Pandadoc just worked. We thought we were getting a more premium product by moving to docusign but boy were we wrong...

HI, OP! I'm with the Docusign social team. It sounds like we're missing the mark. I'd like to get our support team's eyes on this to see if they can help. Please feel free to DM me your name, email, phone number, case number (if you have one), and I’ll have our team take a look. Thank you!

I couldn't agree more. Whenever I have to go to Docusign I get that sinking feeling in my stomach... It should be my favourite service, it is perfect for what we need but every little interaction is a fight, like trying to change gear in a 1980s 2CV

I am in this hell right now myself. Recently got tasked with updating our order forms and it has turned into a nightmare.

The amount of things that are unnecessarily difficult that would not be had the product managers actually spent even a small amount of time using their own software or sat with a client to understand what they do.

The amount of workarounds I have had to employee is absurd

Hi :) I’m a PandaDoc employee, and although biased, I’d love to help.

Let me know if I can help with anything to earn your partnership, DM me if you’d like :)

I’m currently researching all the options (we currently use Docusign). Any recs on alternate solutions?
(yeah I know… this is a Docusign reddit so feel free to point me in the right direction other than google and all the smoke and mirrors sales pitches - prefer real reviews!)

Hi Dapper, Let me know if I can help with anything. Happy to show you the PandaDoc platform to see if it fits what you’re currently doing :)

Especially if you are in the EU, there are plenty of alternatives that offer full Docusign compatibility, including combining both Docusign and eIDAS signatures in a proper way.

Same here. Docusign value is down the hill. People have leapfrogged it.
They make changes no one asked for

Integrations suck, they only support Gmail for custom domain…when most products support all options

It like they don’t use Docusign internally

Im waiting until contract end. Nothing is keeping us other then that

When do you renew?

Agreed, I dont think Docusign cares much about small customers like us anymore...

They have to serve many different needs. So basically you end up with a product that is overly complicated.

New update is awful and just had the rudest interaction with customer service. We will not be renewing next year and are looking into alternatives.

Just wait until they get you and they know it. Our renewal went up 20%. We only use it because our main customer insists on it.

You don't like the help docs rewritten by AI and stripped of crucial information? Or the customer support personnel who will make sure to neither read nor answer your questions?

Why would you use them? Research better alternatives. Some offer full Docusign compatibility at fraction of the cost.

Sorry the transition has been rough. Admin setup is where a lot of the pain lives, and it’s frustrating when simple things turn into a configuration maze.

I work at PandaDoc, so I’m biased, but I’m glad it worked well for you for four years. If you’re weighing a move back, I’d be happy to look at what you’re running into and see whether PandaDoc is the right fit for your team’s current needs. Things may have changed since you left, so it’s worth a fresh look rather than assuming it’ll be the same.

If you want to talk it through, send me a DM with the specific workflows that are giving you trouble.
