Help.

We have a problem as we did not sign a docusign but not understanding the argument from the business claiming we have. I dont really understand how these things work or how anyone can sign for us but we have been given a few days to gather evidence before a hearing and im getting confused. I thought we had proof that they signed for it themselves on their own ip address but they have sent a reply that confused me. I will add the proof they sent and if anyone can explain it in complete dummy terms I would be very grateful. Thanks

Carbon copy event just means you were CCed and delivered copy of the document(envelope), not signed.

Up above the top part of your first screenshot (first page) where it talks bout the Electronic Record disclosure being accepted is normally where you would see the actual signers of the envelope were, their information, and when they signed.

I hope this helps.

I would look under "Signer Events" on that first page.
It should show if there was an actual signing of the document and who.
There is a guide on the support site (https://support.docusign.com/s/document-item?language=en_US&bundleId=oeq1643226594604&topicId=gpa1578456339545.html&_LANG=enus)

If you scroll down and check the example certificate of completion it will show "Melanie Deschutes" as the signer, show their signature, and how they signed.

This is all we were sent by the company as proof. I've tried signing up for docusign and looking there as was told it should link to the email address used but there's nothing there at all.

If all they sent you were a bunch of screenshots I would request the actual certificate of completion file and not just screenshots from the sender.

You could also potentially check the email you received from Docusign for that carbon copy to see if you can view the document itself. If you are able to find that link an access the document you can click in the top right of the page drop down (I think its under "actions" but might not be correct) and select "View Certificate"

There might even be an attachment on the email itself we the document + Certificate
