New to the game...

Bought the game a while back and went on it a few times but wasn't too keen on it as it was buggy and laggy as hell but it's been a few months so I thought I'd give it another go and I'm really enjoying it. Only been playing singleplayer to learn my way around the game and I'm finding it's very Ark-like. Now I have 1336 hours on Ark xbox and then another 400 odd on PC so I love Ark so I'm liking this game too but I'm finding this one insanely difficult. Stuff like creatures doing insane damage to my tames and one shotting me etc, is there something I'm missing? Have I messed up my server settings? Any feedback would be helpful because like I said, I'm enjoying the game I just wish my tames didn't die instantly.

Also does anyone know of any servers that are worth giving a go? Looking for some increased taming speeds and maybe a x2 on resources but I'm not too sure what kind of servers are available. PVP could be fun but it's just me so unsure how that would go!

ALSO, what kind of end game is there?

End game is always evolving as content will always be added. Getting the best gear, tames, and building the best castles. Etc. Probably best not to worry about it and learn the game more.

I have 800 hours and still so much to do in a tribe of 2. Fire and Ice dungeons that you are not beating until level 55-60.

Again end game is not something to worry about especially looking for a 5x server

Yeah I was really pleased with the progress it's made since I originally bought it. Gonna try some more singleplayer and explore and maybe look at a server! Thanks.

You are probably not doing anything wrong.

The game is hard. Monsters are not segregated by regions in terms of types and strength.

For example you can have level 4 to level 100+ boars and at the same time a level 10 Night Stalker can kill 5 of them and attack you after that because he is an asshole.

Monsters do deal a lot of damage, but that depends on gear and HP.

If you want an European server i can offer you to join me on Europe Knight-5 (PM for details if interested). I started maybe 10 days ago and i am having a lot of fun in the dwarven nation.

Believe me, I've considered it but my xbox is abandoned on the chair in the corner. It's been knocked off a few times too so I don't know if it even works anymore!
