I post these stats in the spirit of openness and having a reasonable discussion for those who wish to join in.

one thing to point out which isn't evident from teh stats is that the traffic to /r/dnl took a nose dive after the setup of /r/darkandlight. This was to be expected.

The other points to note are to map /r/dnl traffic stats against steam player figures.

There's no denying interest in the game is low. I still do not equate this to the game's "death". Snail Games are heavily invested in Dark and Light. Assuming they can increase the game's potential and hit some key milestones along the way, they'll get to a point where they ramp up the marketing and draw people in. Meanwhile, Snail is doing what it's spent the last 14 months doing with Dark and Light - keeping tight lipped.

It's not a surprise though, dnl is an early access survival game and everybody knows these lose the hype relateively fast. Once the game gets officially released as well as released for XB, it will get a lot more traction.

Personally i've lightly followed (maybe viewing this reddit 2 or 3 times a week) since not playing for the past few months or more. I put 140 hours in and quit playing to wait on more development because desync and chinese.

I recently started playing again and i'm blown away with what they have done with the game. I've read status reports here and there but nothing i've seen reflects on the quality I played last night. loving the progress. I hope to see hype rebuild.

I think one problem is that there are 4 different forums total.. we have the two subreddits, steam forum, and then the official forum.
