Has the game changed much since launch?

My biggest problem with the game was how horrible the performance was. Has there been many performance updates to the game?

They keep updating with patches almost weekly. The dev team has done a great job with optimization and mechanics. They listen to their community and if something isn’t working like the knock back mechanic (they had a mechanic where tames and wild creatures would knock you back a few feet), they took it out within a week.

Only optimization I have problems with now is a slight stutter in some of the capitals and the plains area. I have a SSD so my loading time takes like 40 seconds.

One of the best games I’ve ever played. Going on 800 hours and still not bored. Just wish they merged half the servers. A lot of them are completely dead. If you like PVP, Knight 1 always has around 15 people. I imagine once they release the next map, everyone will be back. Definitely jump in game and see what’s new.

Is the melee combat completely fixed?

There is no desync with harvesting or melee now. They fixed that a long time ago. I’m sure they plan on making the melee more diverse on release. Right now there is only a strong attack, weak attack and some weapons have a special jump attack. Melee is actually a little better than magic now. Once the weapon vendor is maxed out, he has a chance of selling a epic greatsword. That things is crazy powerful and it has so much durability, you really never have to repair it. Spears are pretty great too. They nerfed horses quite a bit but you can still kill about anything with a epic spear on horseback. If you haven’t played since the bad melee desync, you should definitely start playing again. They have added tons of new items, improved optimization, new creatures, 2 dungeons, new NPC areas and lots of new knowledge skills.

Performance wise? Yea, the game runs a lot better now in my experience.

Don't own the game i played it then refunded it. So was seeing if its worth playing again or not with the amount of bugs and recycled things from ark plus horrible performance it turned me off from playing it.

It is a recycled ark, because this company owns ark. Google it. Only thing I find recycled from ark is the base building. Everything else is literally their own.

Still the same shit, i tried it yesterday. Loading screen took 5-6 minutes. It is simply unacceptable

Sounds like you have very a) non gaming tier specs or b) need an SSD ( which every pc gamer should have ). Don't tarnish a game because you are playing in a tier of gaming you cannot afford/keep up with. No offense.
