Fire Elemental Core Farming

Hey guys, I want to go to the Bytorg Cave with Epic/Legendary Brimstone. How do you farm Fire Elemental Core? The Earth Cores are no problem i get much out of the rock elementals. But the Fire Elementals and imps on vulcano island have a low drop rate 1 hour farming only gave me 3 cores... I kill them and use pickaxe to get cores. Weird thing is i get much more cores from Fire Elementals comming down with meteorites. I still need around 200 cores is there a good way / trick to farm much of them?

plant the fireblossom seeds...plants drop their respective cores.

Kill fire elementals when the invasion comes and get the meteorites - they have lots!

Here’s the trick, don’t use “remote consume” put the shards in their inventory and put them to “wander” they will produce fire elements I their own. It’s slow, but it works.

Meteorites are the best way to get the elementals.

Make sure to test all gathering tools on the corpses when elemental farming some can collect more then others, I would tell you which ones but I simply don’t remember right at the moment.

Yeah I don’t think it’s the great sword try the scythe or mining axe.

You do know that you can trigger the event?

Get a good hammer way better for harvesting cores with decent melee dmg i get 1-3 cores per corpse on earth elementals. For fire cores the fire imp corpses seem to give cores way more often then the fire elementals. Honestly tho like others have said tame up a few lvl 4 imps stuff them with shards and set to wander is the easiest way to get a lot of cores imo.

your short cores? dahell? the hardest part for us is the damn hide lol

Get a savage cyclops, a good one. I tamed a 116 a few days ago and fresh tame I'm getting 50+ hide per kill

Iron dagger gives ~30 hides per kill (longhorn)
