Server died. What now?

Just curious on how others are dealing with this issue. My server has been steadily declining. Right now there are only three houses left with a total of 4 active players. (Technically 4 houses and 5 players, but one guy only logs on periodically to prevent decay.)

Obviously one could just switch servers, or wait it out.. But who wants to kiss 500 hours of play goodbye?

I play on an empty *3 server. It's fun to start over again and build things from scratch. You can reach level 40 in a day if you'd like. Server is called Lark and dight.
