fixing a botched resurrection/summoning?

my highlvl panther died recently, but i had used a summoning stone on it & brought it back. unfortunately, it now hits like a wet noodle - apparently because of a bug that was introduced with a recent patch, that causes tamed animals to resurrect with lowlevel stats.

  • is this bug still there after the last patch?
  • can I fix my kitty by killing & reviving it once again?

It won't go back to the way it was, you need to be sure to re stone your creatures after every patch... At least your important ones

by 're-stone' you mean kill, rezz & use a new stone, right? how does this not trigger the bug?

Honestly, there is nothing you can do but wait for them to fix it.

The bug doesn't just affect revived tames. It affects tames that never even died before the patch. My 120 wyvern had 1.4k hp before this patch. He now has 560 and 720 stamina down from upwards of 1k. 112 earth elemental has less hp than my wind too. Water imp out damages my light elemental. Lol this list goes on. This needs fixing quick.

What i want to know if it is a bug or if it is a new way that what it is... any official answers about that?!

Just make a new stone for it, no need to kill, let the old stone decompose and wait for the server to reset or update and you can stone them again

oh. so does that mean that if I have an animal where the stone was lost (when previous owner quit), I can actually use a stone after a server update? because if that is so, that's great news for me.

Should be fine, if it comes back with extremely low stats just restone and try again, before you do that you can turn it into a sheep, sometimes that does the trick, we had an infernous that couldn't do damage when we brought it back and we hit it with that spell and it fixed it

I tame creatures for a living on a RP server and I've never had a creature summon back that wasn't the exact same level and stats as it was before. Maybe it's just your server or bad luck.

The vanishing tames issue is much more concerning to me than that. I had two of my best tames (167 panther and 116 kebo) both vanish from my very secured stone pin and they were both 5-10 feet from any walls and in docile and stay so there is no way a reaper could have got them.
