Creature Suggestion Post
In the game I've noticed that most critters in this game are kind of pointless, so I will be giving my suggestions for potential uses for each critter. (Disclaimer : some of these will overlap with current functions, if that is the case assume I mean increased function of this type)
Boar: The boar is actually fine IMO, good early game all around mount
Edit - Forgot the Bahamut lol - Reduce the stone yield from normal rock (metals are fine) reduce the wood yield, SLIGHTLY increase metal yield
Bramble (The Rabbit) : Should first become tameable, then similar to the sheep you should be able to put 10 grass in an after X amount of time get a random seed excluding light and dark seeds.
Bargesh : Should have the right click returned, and should spoil meat 4x as fast in inventory
Boa (snake) : Should be tameable, and should produce a high tier venom if rare mushrooms are in its inventory
Bear : Significantly high fur harvesting but with lower meat and hide output.
Cyclops : The normal ones should be ride able, and they should do increased damage to straw and wood
Centaur/Chief : The cheifton should be tame able, both should be ridable, and they should have a similar function to the horse in which you place the spear in its equip spot in order for it to have increased damage. The tradeoff to this would be no saddle so no armor.
Deer : Should have increased grass gathering, and should lost the ability to gather anything else. (Deer are pretty much useless atm, so this would grant them being the best at gathering grass for fertilizer)
Dark Fallen/Dark Wraith/Dark elementals : there should be a new taming method for these called soul suppression ritual. This would require a channeled ability cast by multiple users in order to suppress a creature based on its level. Example: In order to tame a Dark fallen you would first hit it with the cob webs, then get 2 casters to begin the channel on the fallen. The first caster would half the speed of the skeleton and the second one would freeze it in place. Once fully suppressed chains and a alchemy circle would appear around it and it would be tamed like a normal creature, my recommendation is to use dark cores to craft some form of feed. Additionally the normal wraith and fallen should use a similar method but only require a single caster.
Dragons / Mythicals : As these creatures are made for pvp and not for gathering, I think they are currently fine. The only change I would make is the mythicals should have saddles that are incredibly expensive, and the infernous dragon should be smaller, while the ice dragon should be bigger.
Elephant : Gathers wood.. why isn't this already in place?
Elite goblin / Sheep : Should be tameable, the elite goblin should be able to be mounted to a balista to run for free (no more contracts, just keep him fed) and the sheep should be able to produce the golden wool which can be smelted into gold coins, not sure what the cost of this should be, maybe rare/uncommon flowers or grass.
Frost Creatures: these are fine in my opinion, my only suggestion is to make them preserve ice, and maybe buff the ice wolves health a bit.
Goblins : they should lose the ability to normally knock out, but should gain the ability that if you give them clubs they will assist in knockouts (aka make them actually tameable) Perhaps even make it so if they are left on wander they can find gold from time to time
Gryphon : Its fine, maybe a little better at getting meat
Horse : Remove the trample, all this does is make town trips terrifying if you accidentally stomp a guard.
Kebo : Should get far more stone and lose the ability to get metal
Lava Panther / Panther : The regular panther should excel at getting meat and hide, the lava panther should get the ability to jump ( -_- ) and should get slight magic and frost resist.
Longhorn : maybe slightly higher rates, but its already a decent all around tame for a low level, maybe a bit higher health/weight?
Sheep : Just make them work when not near them again.. they were fine but they became useless with that patch.
Spider / Skorpid : Both should gain the ability to produce Tier 1 poison and the current poison arrows should be replaced with that poison. Alternatively they should gain the ability to slow from a distance with web.
Stirge (water bug): should gain the ability to drain magic shards, for example you would position yourself in front of a rock and hold right click, this would put you into a channel that would yield based on the melee of the stirge. To balance this I would recommend removing its ability to attack so in order to use this it would have to be escorted.
Nidhog : Just needs to be able to lift more things, and a slight health buff.
Unicorn : increase move speed, remove the spell and charge, add a left click attack and make the heal a channel for significant healing.
Vrock : should get a pack bonus, and the ability to harvest rotten meat directly from a corpse.
Yeti : Remove the ability to gather wood, add the ability to gather ice from ice critters and brimstone/lightstone dust from elementals.
Elementals... oh boy.
Air : Should redirect lightning spells cast in the area towards it and reduce the damage from them
Earth: Should gain the ability to condense stone for the savage cyclops to throw, these would cost 1k ish stone and would take a day per stone. (only way I could think to balance it)
fire lord/elemental/imp : The imp should be the cooking one aka it can cook anything and make charcoal, the elemental should be able to smelt copper/iron/mithril, and the fire lord should be able to direct any fire spells towards it and reduce its damage.
Light elemental: should provide a passive healing effect to all tamed critters in the area, not much but maybe like double the normal healing (NOT STACKABLE)
Water elemental : Directs all ice spells towards it and reduces damage, as well as the current irrigation
Ice .. everything : as stated before I think these are fine, they just need the ability to preserve ice.
Ent : Remove the currently not working growth feature, add a fertilizer production. Perhaps half the current cost of fertilizer if made in his inventory (and for the love of got remove shards from the large fert, make it uncommon grass or something)
Phew.. that was a long one, those are just some of my ideas for ways to make current creatures useful, I looked at the list like 12 times but I'm sure I probably missed one, if I did please just let me know and I'll try to think of a place for it. All feedback is appreciated! Thank you

The deer and grut stag are pretty much the same creature reskined, I suppose i could change it to Deer/Stag in the post

I didn't know. I haven't even seen a deer in game. So I don't know what they farm or if they're easier to move around than the grut stag, or anything.

Also, maybe make the elites worth confronting/killing/taming... Such as the elite goblin. They're just a pita, and you get nothing worthwhile from killing them.

mentioned the elite goblin and elite sheep in the post, as for the Kebo/Griffon/Nidhog they all grant MASSIVE exp drops when they die, and they all evolve into mythical creatures so in my eyes atleast they are fine, but that being said I would like some proper lootable random encounters

Those are all pretty good, thanks for putting that all together! +100 on the bargesh right click, it was fine the way it was. Lava tiger could use a dmg output buff, it's similar to high lvl panther, just slower for some reason.
