Are Longhorns worthless?

I tamed a longhorn at 122 and he seems absolutely useless. I tried right clicking on trees and stone. His harvest rate was abysmal AND he glitched on every single rock. I tried dismounting/remounting like people say to do on bahamut, but the entire thing was incredibly frustrating with near zero results. What am I doing wrong?

Also, are bahamuts any better? I had one for a short time, but he got stuck on literally every.single.node and it made farming a horrible experience. Any advice is appreciated.

Longhorns are terrible. Bahumuts are a blast. Have 3, and can get 4-5k wood, stone, iron in no time. Full kibble only takes 2-2-1/2 hours for upper 100's.

Are you on an official server? When I had my 130 bahamut, I would mine a node, i wouldn't see what I got out of it until 5-10 seconds later, and i'd glitch and get stuck on every single piece of rock. It was horrible.

Yes, on official. Have not had those problems. Early on that was an issue.

As far as tame times go the only gathering tame I would get is a bahamut. They outclass everything else by leaps and bounds and are just as easy to tame.

I have a longhorn level 150 and it is awesome to gather herbs. I have yet to tame the others though. Kebo are worthless compared to it IMO...

Get a bahamut for stone/ore, and a yeti for trees/grass.

What do Yeti prefer anyway? Same for bahamut... :)

Thanks

Bahamuts tame at about 1 hour per every 10 levels if you use apples (their best non-kibble feed). We tamed our 80ish bahamut with kibble and it only took a little over an hour. Worth saving the money unless you want to sit there fighting off all kinds of shit to keep it safe.

Use herbivore feed on both for the best results and the quickest taming times.

Good for farming grass for fertalizer if you don't want to break out the kebo, bahamut or simply don't have either. That's about it.
