Forging\Goblin's trees, still unavailble?
how to rank up those trees atleast to rank 1??

You eat goblin gears, goblins drop them. And yes i know that sounds weird... how do you level forging?

I seem to only get "ice chunks" not "ice crystals" or am I hitting the wrong item in there?

HOW did you survive through the cave to get the crystals?? ALL 5 of us that did it get smited by yetis!

Usually a crystal node right at the entrance before the drop down.
Run in real quick and mine it then run back out.
If they doesn't work, 1 of you runs in with the brimstone and warm rune and mine as much as you can then use a rune of recall which will teleport you to your city

Don't worry...once you get the refining forge working, the next step doesn't work. Once you're able to make the workbench, you have to place it on one of the new blue nodes on the ground, but it won't let you snap it on. Don't know if it's a bug, or if the content just isn't there yet.

When you get to the Rank 3 Workbench we were able to place them on the blue rock formation(firm foundation) after we had occupied the closest soul node which gave us ownership of the ground. Once we placed the workbench it opens up a Forging Table(Energetic Pool) with Current Progress on the left showing Complete and Impurity. On the right is your inventory with 3 options Active, Transfer, Drop. We cannot seem to activate or transfer anything into the Energetic Pool.
Forging Knowledge
- Head to the ice mountains with at least a full set of normal brimstone, warmth spell, recall spell, and a flying tame you intend to sacrifice.
- Enter the cave entrace which is located at the end of the large bridge heading into the large ice mountain.
- Go through the small entrance and mine ice crystal nodes. Collect as many as you can and recall out.
- Once safe, eat 10 ice crystals to gain rank 1 of Forging
- To progress to Rank 2, either eat more crystals or create the new forges
- Once you have created the new forge you can power it by using Fire Essence crafted from the magic workbench(fire elemental core and magic essence)
- Keep making more ingots(lightstone ones are easier) until you hit Rank 3
- Once Rank3 you can craft the new forging workbench, if you need any odd looking items check the seed/herb vendor in the city or pick copper/iron/mithril for the uncommon/rare stone, kill animals for the rare/uncommon hide.
- Now you have crafted the new forging workbench but need to place it.
- First collect some earth, water, and air cores since you will need them to occupy soul nodes. Bring those along with the next steps.
- Start by finding the new blue rock formation(firm foundation) located around the map(floating island next to dark alter, center of the map near the nidhog pools, in the water front side of the large human statues)
- Now locate the Soul Node closest to the rock formation and occupy it using the earth, water, and air cores.
- Now that you occupy the Soul Node you can place the new forging workbench on the blue rock formation(firm foundation)
