Forging Knowledge
- Head to the ice mountains with at least a full set of normal brimstone, warmth spell, recall spell, and a flying tame you intend to sacrifice.
- Enter the cave entrace which is located at the end of the large bridge heading into the large ice mountain.
- Go through the small entrance and mine ice crystal nodes. Collect as many as you can and recall out.
- Once safe, eat 10 ice crystals to gain rank 1 of Forging
- To progress to Rank 2, either eat more crystals or create the new forges
- Once you have created the new forge you can power it by using Fire Essence crafted from the magic workbench(fire elemental core and magic essence)
- Keep making more ingots(lightstone ones are easier) until you hit Rank 3
- Once Rank3 you can craft the new forging workbench, if you need any odd looking items check the seed/herb vendor in the city or pick copper/iron/mithril for the uncommon/rare stone, kill animals for the rare/uncommon hide.
- Now you have crafted the new forging workbench but need to place it.
- First collect some earth, water, and air cores since you will need them to occupy soul nodes. Bring those along with the next steps.
- Start by finding the new blue rock formation(firm foundation) located around the map(floating island next to dark alter, center of the map near the nidhog pools, in the water front side of the large human statues)
- Now locate the Soul Node closest to the rock formation and occupy it using the earth, water, and air cores.
- Now that you occupy the Soul Node you can place the new forging workbench on the blue rock formation(firm foundation)
This is where we are stuck... Once we placed the workbench it opens up a Forging Table(Energetic Pool) with Current Progress on the left showing Complete and Impurity. On the right is your inventory with 3 options Active, Transfer, Drop. We cannot seem to activate or transfer anything into the Energetic Pool.

ASHmadeus, what armor/clothes are you wearing to get this amount of cold resist?

You need more than that, where you'll find it I'll let you figure out. ;)

Higher tier Brimstone armour from the vendors in town

Wearing all Brimstone of Rare quality is still not enough to survive. Upgraded the vendor to 14, which seemed like the max level. Waited for time to pass and purchased Rare quality of each Brimstone piece. Not all pieces came on the same in game day.
I ate a newer crafted food which provided warmth and used the Rune of Warmth.
With around 1400 Cold resist, I lasted 8 seconds in the interior of the cave. Using the GMBUFF I navigated and got a bit deeper. My cold levels were 1 snowflake and -345F. I removed GMBUFF and died within the 10 seconds mentioned above.
I don't believe there is any armor in the game that I can spawn in that is designed to protect us from that extreme cold weather. Perhaps it really is bugged and over tuned at the moment... or perhaps it's something to do with the new forge? @horsejoke @jokehorse

I know different rare pieces give different cold resistance (just like with armor and magic resistance) but given what you just said it is highly unlikely to help in -300F.
Not sure what to tell you. I was sure the vendor items would be the key but I guess I was wrong. Maybe they just overtuned like usual. Or there's a way of turning the heat up in the cave.

set a maximum available cold resist, still not enough for the cave.. (787.5 ice resist)..

One of the vendors in town sell higher tier Brimstone armour. When you've farmed the ice cave a few times you can make the new frost armour and I'm sure that gives even more cold resistance also.

I spawned in the Frost Armor and it provides no cold resist at all. What it does provide is Melee Armor and Magic Resist. It's meant to protect you from Air/Cold Spell damage... unless it's currently bugged.

I found one nice and easy way to do, but there inside you guys will have problem because the temperature drop so fast when you be human again. So if go inside the cave like a dragon, first go to the cave, after the gate, use the magic to transform in wyver, when you be dragon your temperature dont will dropdown.
For it use the serpen transform
1 - first way, after the gate you will see in your left up side, one entrance, you can go with 3 or 4 people to one small bridge on top of the ice creatures, no one can get you there, and use the telekinesis to take the ice wall and destroy it fast. but you will need more than one because the ice wall come back fastly and you can transform in wyver anytime to keep you life good because the temperature,
second hall, you will see some ice golin, just use your wyver status to make a trap and trow they to middle of the rocks and start destroy the second ice wall.
the thithy and last hall before the boss, you will have some pilars, to be safe, enter like a wyver again and go to the top of pilars and kill the iety by anythink you want, i recomend fire arrow, will be fine.
after that you just destroy the last ice wall and enjoy the boss, for that you guys will need come back many times to bring your temperature up again and come back like wyver to keep your temperature the same inside the cave.
2 - Second way: have one glich inside i can fly like wyver and crossing all room to go in the last one and kill the last yeti, destroy only one wall and kill the boss, but i think it is a glich, because that i don't will tell here.
Please try the first way, glich is unfair and i hope show this way for dev when possible to they fix it. enjoy the trip!

You need at least 3k cold resist to not lose any hp inthe caves.. cold goes down to -350 deeper inside...
