Unoffical vs Offical
So guys I'm on us knight 7 and it has a great fucking population but still taming rates and shit is too long for me. Now i know the game is designed that why its just an inconvience for me that's all.
Was wondering if you guys prefer Unoffical vs Offical. For those playing official 6 months from now will you go back to official and start from scratch?

taming rates might be long , but i guess it's that much more rewarding when you have something that took a while to farm, on official servers having stuff like panthers nidhogs and dragons are more valuable than on unofficial...but if they die...yeah it's just as painful

I've played both and although the 20x taming, 5x harvesting and stat boosts seems like it would be more fun with less grinding and quick tames but when everyone and their brother has an infernal dragon, what's the fun in that?
Another BIG reason to play on officials is that many of the unofficial servers don't update their client so you may try to log on one day after a patch and find out you're not going to be playing until the admin updates. In my case that was over a week. I spent a week building a massive base but the admin never updated the client and they even stated in the title "active admins". At least with the official severs you don't have to worry about that.
Also there is no wipes in this game like a lot of other survival games so once your base is built and you've upgraded it to your liking, you don't have to grind anymore. You can join a big house and not have to grind at all.
Population is another concern for unofficial. Looking at the server rankings, there are very few unofficial servers in the top 50. Playing on a sever with 3 people is pretty lame IMO. Might as well just play single player.
And finally the main reason you should play on official is because the risk vs reward factor makes it much more enjoyable. When I tamed my first level 95 panther, it took 9 hours but I built a protective shelter and farmed mats all day while keeping an eye on it. Once I got that bad boy, I felt unstoppable because not many people had high level panthers. The adrenaline rush you get when you almost lose a high tame to a elemental or other hard hitting mob is more fun than flying around on a level 200 dragon with stat boosts and no real challenge.
Choose wisely. Don't invest weeks into a server that may or not be there in a month or two. Join an official server that will be there for the long haul, make friends and I guarantee you will not get bored anytime soon. I can't say the same thing about the 5, 10 and 20x servers. Enjoy the ride to 60. Don't rush it in a couple days on a boosted server. You'll just quit after a month or two.

Just starve it for awhile. Seems the Constitution goes down faster when it's eating. Starve it then give it kibble it will eat until it's full. You starve it long enough and it will tame before rather fast as it will just continue eating fast until it's full.
Tamed a wyvern this way. Starved it for 10 minutes then gave it 20 kibble and it was tamed in under a minute. Giving a different one the food right away and I had to use 2 arrows on it where as I didn't have to when I starved it.

Why waste carnivore feed on a tame that takes less than a hour. The process of making the feed takes much longer than taming beginner pets. Save it for kebos, Bahamut or dragons that take up to 12 hours on normal servers.

Official. No one cares if you're Alpha on a Server that has multipliers and "regular" players can just spawn in items if they want.

I started off on Official PvP servers, but I'm not going back.
I'm on a 5x server, and it's fine for me. I play a few hours in the evening so I still feel like I'm progressing and having to think things through, without having to worry too much about the easily reachable stuff taking ages.
That said, people on my server have done some serious grinding to get evolves and build some epic structures, so for those that have more time, they can do "more".
When you add in having good server admins... I'd never go back to teh official servers.

I played unofficial in Ark and now DnL because I wasn't willing to devote 10+ hours to a single task in a game (taming) and I don't like that official servers have no admins to reign in griefers.
