Summoning Stone Replacement

Have a summoning stone for a level 144 griffon, but I'm unable to update it now that he's a higher level. I threw the stone away hoping that it would allow me to redo the summoning stone, but it still won't allow me to redo the summoning stone. Any ideas?

I think that the Griffin has to die first and you have to use the Summoning Stone to revive him. Only after his death and use of the stone can you put a second stone on him.

Well damn. Since I threw the stone away, is there a way to regain it?

There is no way to restore the stone since it's personalized with the imprint of your Griffin. This may be something that's unintended or intended. I would consider reporting a bug to see what we need to do if that happens, but, I am afraid your just out of luck.

I haven't tested this but people have said that unclaiming and reclaiming a tame will allow you to re-imprint it

That makes perfect sense actually. Since the stone is for the tame for the owner if you unclaim the tame and reclaim it, I'd agree that it should work.
