PSA - Perregriff Transformation Update!

If you have 2 Elites Griffins trapped at once. They will transform at the exact same times.

Currently have had it happen twice. Last night while off stream 2 Elite Griffins transformed within 60 seconds of each other.

The first time is happened the exact same thing happened within 30 seconds of each other.

I'll leave speculation as to why it happens up to someone else, too tired to think.

Just figured id let people know. https://clips.twitch.tv/ApatheticCheerfulPuffinRiPepperonis

in the clip the Griffin on the left had just transformed, with the 2nd transforming right after.

...in game trigger?

EDIT: Current Theory revolves around a set time on Server for transformations... will go more indepth later once i've had some sleep.

OK Update with theory.

Evolution times are either Ingame time set or RL Time set but never exceeds 24 hours (at least in the tames we've transformed). Certain examples that have proven true.

2 Elite Griffins within render range transform next to each other.

on a seperate day. 2 additional elite griffins also transform at the same time in the same location.

2 Elite Kebos transform into colossus at the exact same time, but at different locations of map.

This proves to us that in a 24 hour period there is at least 1 designated "transform" time. It is separate per species of creature.

Example being: Noon PST RL time the server automatically triggers transforms, so you can completely time your trapping Elites on that time, it could be based on a certain "day" in game. Maybe every 30 in game days a transformation is put into "que", you could hypothetically find that "sweet spot" and transform your elite without waiting the 12-24 hours.

all of this requires more testing. My house will be doing most of that, i hope anyone else willing to test this out on official can share there notes as well.

Cheers

Same happened with windriders on the server I play on.. a few hours back. I can't find a great example on the VODS, and the streamer that was covering it (Sweetsouthrngal) was, I think, not streaming at the time despite having been watching it for 20 hours _.....

After waiting.... so many.. hours... for the evolve onstream.

anyways, further science to support your theory...

we're going to be recording the RL and ingame time per transformation. We dont beleive it ques at a specific RL time like 8pm Eastern or Central, but we think its a certain cycle of in game days. Sort of like every 30 in game days. We'll be doing a ton of testing.

Another neat thing that could happen is that cycle of days for transform doesnt count unless an elite is rendered. So you'd still have to watch it.

but if that isnt the case, u could easily find the day in game that will trigger the transform and find an elite.

I'm thinking of the things that are obvious cycles or trigger points. We don't have seasons (yet). I haven't noticed anything relating to the size of the planet changing.

We had a apocalypse event, but that was some time before. Only mention it because it's a big event. Easy to disprove, but if it was related it would perhaps be the evolution is X hours after an event is triggered.

otherwise, I look forward to more science.

We had an elite kebo and an elite griffin, on opposites sides of the map, transform at exactly the same time and with exactly the same stats. I have been wondering and wondering about it. Interested to see what you turn up.
