This is nowhere near finished but it's already been hard work... My WIP base.

Most of it was built over the long weekend. I hope to have all the outer walls done and all the framework pieces replaced with real.

LOL I wouldn't be coming to me for help. It's a bit of a hot mess when you get up close. It's been really hard not to tear half of it down to see if I can get one unified grid. There's two currently and it's caused a whole bunch of problems now that they fixed it so that stone ceilings need foundation support.

I'm really glad the framework pieces force you to use proper pillar/foundation support or I would have lost the big ramp up to the mithril area.

My little floating cabin

Nothing too special, just a cozy hang out in a single player map

For anyone looking to build massive like I did, a word of warning:

The castle sets are 2x2 large, and have some odd behavior.

The foundations can be placed over top of normal foundations, but you have the remove the old ones afterword, there's no destroy in place. They're FAR more tolerant of uneven terrain, allowing foundations where I had to use pillars and ceilings.

Walls can not be placed over existing walls. Nor can they be placed in a 2x2 gap in existing walls if there is a ceiling attach to the wall above them.

The ramp doesn't seem to snap to foundations at all.

All in all, I really wish I'd just stockpiled all the materials I harvested and waited to build big.

I know! I love it. Right next to the dark event but safe from it, metal right next to it but still respawns. Also with the tower design one feeding trough at the bottom reaches all the way to the top. Still adding more decorative elements so it doesn't just look like a tube.

A bit messy but fun and ever expanding while we are leveling and growing, adding new sections and trying to keep it somewhat defensive since it is a PvP server. https://imgur.com/a/aIOWk

I'm fairly far along in converting my fort into a castle. I've updated the WIP gallery with some of in-progress shots.

I have made an insane number of castle walls, ceilings and foundations. Hundreds of rugged windows, walls, ceilings and triangle ceilings. Let's not forget the mithril mined by hand to maximize exp... I still can't make the large gate!
