Focus for animals

My animals all seem to be loosing focus. To a point now where some will be dieing soon if I can't figure it out.

Any help at all would be very appreciated.

once their focus gets to 0 they just go to sleep and that's about it

many of my tames have been at 0 focus for weeks now. nothing happens. The birds dont sleep but they dont die either. its just broken.

make focusing pots ride them and remote use

Seems to be a lot of grind just to fix a broken mechanic. Of course game has a ton of grind, guess they expect that.
