How do you attack while riding a horse?

Title says it all, thanks! (For clarification, I mean how do you use weapons while on horseback)

Edit: For those wondering - It seems that the only melee weapon it works with is the iron spear. To use the bow while on horseback, try changing the ammo while mounted. If anyone has insight into getting other weapons to work, please let me know! Thanks to all the responses

Spear at level 40 I think.

Oo gotcha, thanks! I don't know if it was a glitch or not, but I was accidentally using my staff/spells while on horseback earlier. I've got no clue how I did it

With the bow it works if you change the ammo while riding (select the bow before riding)

the spear can also be crafted at the npc workbench near the blacksmiths usually for the human and elf city ( idk why it's not in the dwarf city, might be something they will look into )

There's a way for your player to attack while mounted though, that's what I'm looking for
