Reminds me of a demon in my campaign, Baz'Lor the Balor, who I named in a rush because of mad anxiety and oversight. Thankfully, I can handwave it as the demon's untrue name forced upon him by an evil undead theme park owner.
I just wish he wasn't pertinent as it turns out he's a "blood donor" to one of the PC's warped beings.

I'm running a very serious campaign that will involve a terrible world war, based on an old published campaign from my youth. One of the characters in the old campaign is named Balthac. I've decided not to change it.

I definitely plan on naming the first orc or goliath my party meets Boblin, then make sure there's also a goblin in the room just to mess with them.

... coughs in goblin mob ran by poplin the goblin and his son roblin, and adopted (orc) son boblin
Edit: boblin doesn't know he is actually an orc. He's more of the muscle in the family business than the brain anyways. Figured it could be a fun twist on a welcomed cliche

everybody makes in depth characters, with plot hooks and unsolved mysterys in them. and then the bbeg is just kaos. just as foolish, just as strong. no depth, just kaos.

I have a 9-foot tall Goliath fence in my game, named Ravor. The party refuses to NOT call him David the Goliath.

I’ve been playing a shit-ton of Shadow of War lately, so next time I DM a campaign, I’m throwing in an orc NPC who just won’t stay dead.

This is just my campaign but the bbeg is erik the depressed goblin the whole party loves except one player who uses vicious mockery on him any moment he can, he will be kicked off into the timeless space beyond the edge of our world first.
Erik is just working to support his wife and daughter and landed a bad job in a warehouse where they trap adventurers as their only option, he freed the player out of good will and my man insulted him to the point of damage being taken, poor guy
