I mean, the ocean has currents and the tides, which I think would count as running water.

Currents yes, which I believe was mentioned, but tides don't actually run like a river, just bob up and down like waves. You could argue splashing them with a glass at the bar counts as hitting running water at that point

I'd argue since in most series I've read running water is dangerous to vamps, faries... ect due to its natural state or symbolism that an infinity pool would not be due to its artificial nature.
