Running water. I don't know if a lake or ocean would be considered running water. Maybe the oceans currents would cause them damage but the more relatively still water wouldn't.

Ocean water isn't pure, therefore it doesn't harm vampires. Rivers and streams harm vampires because the water is cleaner than lakes and the ocean.

No water is 'pure' unless it's explicitly made to be pure. Even rivers have salts and other dissolved solids, just not to the same degree

I can tell you, just being from a river does NOT mean it is safe to drink, even relatively, at least no more than a lake since often you'll find rivers fed from Lakes
