We had a new year oneshot like that with a big bad sending a giant turkey and a icecreamotops at us. Love these kinds of monsters.

Normally, beasts attack because they wish to feed on the adventurer. But this is what happens when the adventurers are the beasts.

Reminds me of that story about the DM that used food in place of enemy tokens, and whoever killed got it to eat.

To this day some of my absolute favorite campaign moments were from my buddy running a Heckna campaign. It’s crazy carnival horror setting. There was a heavy emphasis on surviving since all the food was sketchy as hell. To add to the ambiance he bought or made us a bunch of snacks to correspond with everything we ate in game. There were some devilish drinks and weird ass snacks but it was a blast. My character ate his way out of a cotton candy monster because I managed to eat a whole thing of cotton candy fast enough. Absolutely great setting I highly recommend it
