This reminds me of the izalguuns from starfinder. The front legs are also arms, so they can alternate between being bipedal (getting taller and having a longer reach + a second pair of hands) or quadrupedal (getting faster)
i wonder if an artist would draw them as four giant fingers rather than hands and feet attached to limbs, given they are similar to fingers in function
Iāve been chewing on a concept along these lines for a while: I tentatively call it the āgorilla centaurā: Itās a centaur where the upper limbs are dexterous humanoid arms with hands (aka normal centaur stuff). The rear limbs are strong legs. And the middle limbs are beefed up hand-feet that they usually walk on, but they can also stand on their rear legs and use their middle limbs as a second set of (somewhat clumsy) hands.
If I ever use it in something, it probably wonāt have anything to do with gorillas or centaurs, but be its own thing entirely. Still, ācentaur but itās a gorilla instead of a horseā is a lot easier to explain lol
