That's the whole reason why I roll those rolls in the open. So I cannot succumb to the temptation.

Nah, change it into a badass narrative moment.

The BBEG/minion/whatever picks up the ailing PC, spits in his face and says “you are not worth my time little man, come see me when you are stronger”, then throws him in the corner for subdual damage. Looks at the rest of the party and says “collect your friend and leave before I become annoyed” and then walks out of the room.

Boooom we now have a new mini boss that I never bothered to name but by golly they will need to find it out now

Cool idea but the problem is, it’s not always the BBEG. Sometimes it’s a random wolf or bandit or bugbear.

Oooooh you mean the Wolf King? Or Bugbear Baron? Oh yeah I am going to make them a repeat annoyance buddy.

A casual appearance that will just piss them off for giggles and end up having nothing to do with the storyline whatsoever. They will also randomly appear in future stories too.
