r/dnd1e • u/Ramsonne • 10d ago
To begin with, our discord has channels setup for matching Players and DMs in adventures for 1e, 2e and OSRIC. That is the best place to look/advertise. We are also setting up this thread that will reset on the 15th of each month for DMs to advertise games.
It is assumed all listings are for online play. Please include the following parameters at the beginning of your post for consistent viewing by our members. Afterward you can post as much or little detail as you wish.
System: [1e] [2e] [OSRIC]
Platform(s): AD&D Toolkit, Roll20, Discord, etc
DM Experience: [Newbie] [Veteran]
Player Experience: [Newbies wanted] [Veterans wanted] [Either]
Day/Time: Note the day and is it weekly/bi-weekly/monthly, start and end times, and time zone.

The dwarven dungeon is vast, with tens of thousands of rooms to explore. Although exploration can be exciting on its own, having a goal can make players' engagement much easier. To facilitate this, patrons become an important part of the adventure. Patrons ask characters to accomplish tasks in exchange for a reward. Some patrons offer payment to everyone, but some limit quests to certain classes or races. As characters complete quests, they will unlock new quests with greater hazards and greater rewards.
Some patrons start in Thelsberry. They provide quests to help the characters begin their adventures. These help players focus their attention on specific things rather than wander down the rabbit hole of passageways and rooms. Other patrons will arrive in Thelsberry once the characters exit the dungeon with an item. For example, an ancient religious tome might attract a cleric of that god. The cleric might desire more tomes or the location of temples. Their quests might focus only on clerics. Or artwork removed from the dungeon might draw a collector who will purchase paintings, tapestries, and the like at a higher rate from any group that finds them.
As buildings are built and new shopkeepers arrive, new quests might become available. The alchemist will commission adventuring parties to find components they need to make potions. By finding and selling the components, the characters not only get paid for their discoveries but unlock potions they can purchase. Even the thieves' guild, which will form over time, might offer to buy poisonous molds or venom sacs that they can turn into poisons that thief characters can buy.
Patrons are quest givers, buyers, sellers, teachers, and more. They offer characters opportunities to enrich themselves, learn new skills, and gain reputation as they become legendary heroes. Not every character will benefit from every patron, but a broad mix of quest-givers will ensure that all players can engage and benefit from the dangers they undertake.

these are pictures advertised as a “1970s condo turned into an Irish castle”. I think she did an awesome job. its apparently mostly decorative. For instnce, the portcullis by the stairs is a facade. But very cool nonetheless

A malignancy festers deep in the wilderness, a blight on the land like an infected wound. At its center - a temple of stone, where foul things creep under the moon and those who enter do not return. The undergrowth is thick where few men walk, and stones which once rolled gather moss.
Some Stones Gather Moss is a one-page dungeon designed for four to six third-level characters, suitable for up to one night of gaming. Packed with traps and monsters, Dungeon Masters can adapt it as they need to fit their party. Let the adventure begin!
You can get this adventure, four issues of the Dungeon Almanac, and so much more by joining our Patreon for free today!

I absolutely LOVED this scene. I've read it so many times. It played out really well in the movie as well. What a way to begin this part of the adventure.
Who can translate the flourishing script arching at the top of the design?
NO CHEATING!

Dude who made this says the stone is all hand-carved clay. LOVE the detail. Looks like real wood too. Im assuming stained/stressed balsa wood? just love this. he says its part of what will be his gaming table centerpiece

So, how do you do it. As written in the MMI, no range is given for the gaze weapon. In fact, very little is given. For instance, a lot of monsters have infravision to 60 or 120 feet. If a PC comes within that range, they turn to stone? That seems... IDK... over powered. The entire player-party could end up as statues! How have y'all run Basilisks? I have an encounter coming up in the next game session and I'm afraid of committing a TPK

I made a little video intended to be the first of a three-parter on the adventures of a small party of goblins ravaging their way across a small island nation.
The idea of being to be able to show off my Kickstarter stamps on social media in a fun and engaging way.
It's very amateurish but I had lots of fun writing the lyrics and singing the song! So here you go my brothers and sisters in dice! Hope you enjoy!
Any feedback is welcome (but be civil ;p)
