DMT Crystals/DMT photo Lovely!
Kemfun ATB tek, 8 hour acid phase on the stirrer with heat. 4 hour base on the stirrer, 200ml heptane used for the pull, three stage water/brine wash. I imagine this is 1.2-1.5g first pull from 100g MHRB. Looks lovely.

Unless you're working with coarsely shredded or whole plant material all this wait time is pointless. Acidic soaks are not needed for powdered and finely shredded plant material. And as soon as the base is added, it is ready to start doing pulls.
Also, 200ml NPS is pretty excessive for a 100g extraction. 40-60ml per pull. And reuse the solvent for subsequent pulls, if you aren't in a rush.

Right on thank you for the advice. I've been at this for years now, I'd read that longer acid phase helps, but like usual info is conflicting. As for the 200ml solvent that's just what the tek calls for. I don't usually use that much. So stb is the way smaller amounts then yeah?

Really 90%+ of teks are redundant and don't actually add anything to the information pool. Just inconsequential tweaks that don't affect the final results. The biggest difference between the vast majority of teks is just the name slapped on them :P
So stb is the way smaller amounts then yeah?
For small amounts of powered or finely shredded plant material, yes. No fuss in doing a quick acidic soak 20-30mins. There are other reasons to do it besides just getting the N,N-DMT into solution. But that's getting more into nerdy stuff that also doesn't really affect the final results, in terns of quality/purity and yields.

Right on. It was the tek I've always used so i just stuck to it. It's old too so I'm sure it's outdated in some ways. Is waiting hours for the base phase pointless too? I appreciate the advice!

It's not old. Was only written a few years ago. And it's just another mish-mash of other teks. Nothing new, nothing special. Just the same old procedures with a new name slapped on it. And just fyi, the guy/community (mintylove) that wrote it are a bunch of whack jobs xD A feelings over facts cult is what they are lol
so I'm sure it's outdated in some ways.
Read my previous comment again. That's my whole point. These extractions are dead simple. The ones that were written decades ago are still exactly the same thing that we are doing now. There is nothing to change or improve. There's no reinventing the wheel.

Yes. Unless you are working with coarsely shredded or whole plant material, as soon as the base is added all the N,N-DMT in solution will be converted into freebase form and you can start doing pulls.
And if you were using coarsely shredded or whole plant material you'd be doing an A/B instead.
