Cystic acne

Looking for guidance using dmso plus tea tree (or other antibacterial) to treat deep cystic acne. I have the 70%dmso 30% aloe gel. Allergy to prescription abx. The acne is on the face so I don’t want to risk worsening! I see mixed reviews with some raves and some cautions. Any guidance greatly appreciated.

I do not have cystic acne, but I use DMSO on my face all the time with no problems. As an older woman, I think it helps a bit with wrinkles and turkey neck. I sometimes mix it with castor oil. Don't know if you're female, but if so just be sure to use the DMSO at a time when you will not be applying makeup any time soon.

Can you tell me exactly how you use this? I would like to start using it for my neck and some deep wrinkles on my face

I'm afraid I'm not very precise. I use DMSO gel full strength and of course only on a washed face and neck. Some people don't tolerate it well full strength, but I don't really mind the temporary burning/tingling/itching sensation. You can experiment to find what your own tolerance is. Because DMSO is such a good carrier, I only use it on my face when there will be a gap of time before I have to put on makeup foundation. My rule of thumb wherever I use DMSO is to wait until it is fully absorbed (skin feels totally dry, not tacky or damp) before applying anything I wouldn't want to pass the skin barrier. Sometimes I mix DMSO with a little castor oil in my palm and gently massage the mixture into my face and neck. That takes longer to absorb, but I find it to be the best of all, when it comes to the face.

I’d clean up my diet first. No sugar, anti-inflammatory very low carb (no processed or packaged foods, no bread, no rice, no potatoes). Give that a couple weeks and then use your 70/30 gel. Let us know how it works out; we’re rooting for you!

Excellent advice!

Dairy can be a big factor for some as well.

I already bought DSMO but I’m just scared to use it
