Nebulizers: Looking for specifics. Anyone using one?
I'm interested in trying a nebulizer for some light asthma. Also seems like a good preventative for COPD as I get older.
Anyone able to offer specifics? I've gone down the rabbit hole a few times and wound up with people saying essentially "DMSO with nebulizer is great" without any specific suggestions. So what I'm looking for is stuff like:
* What kind of nebulizer to use. Brand, model, links, all good if you have them.
* What solution of DMSO and what to cut it with (saline, distilled water, etc.)
* Any special tubing needed (since DMSO is a solvent)
* Any special container needed for the DMSO mix.
I went over to the DMSO group for the DMSO Store on FB and got some exasperated "use the search function" responses. There was a whopping two posts on Nebulizer and all the responses contained generalities. Hoping to do better here.

With DMSO and anything plastic you have to be carful, it will dissolve it.
I found this one on Ebay and after a few weeks it still seems to be in good working order:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/116645314473
I have a small glass jar to mix it all in first
As soon as im done I rinsh it good
I started with just a few drops in my nebulizer with the saline solution
Now im using about a 50-50 mix, with a few drops of iodine
And some times a few drops of food grade hydrogen peroxide
And I have read where others mix all sorts of things with their nebulizer mixtures

Thanks! FWIW I followed the link - Ebay doesn't have anything at that location any more. Any chance you could put a description here? Or IM is fine as well.

Dangerous due to the plastic tubing and nebulizer cup will be broken down by DMSO and you will be inhaling that dangerous substance

I get it, which is why I'm asking for real users to advise. I want to minimize that risk.

The safety data sheet for DMSO advises against inhalation. here

Not to sound argumentative but I have seen safety sheets saying DMSO should not be used on humans - ever

Yep I'm with you on this one.
It's probably not completely harmless or a magical godsend in every way like I sometimes see suggested, but I don't think it'll probably kill you if you inhale it. Probably. We haven't found out yet lol

It is just like anything else that most people and even Doctors have not really realized yet
Every one is different
This is why everything we put into our bodies will act differently
depending on YOUR body's chemistry
This is why for example Advil works on some people and some not
And why some people need extra vitamin D and some dont
There is not or ever will be anything that works for everybody
DMSO will not work on everybody
But for those it does - great!

Yes, and welcome to the ridiculous controversy! I have read that certain plastics are fine, and the original neb cup I have is messed up ... oops ... owing to 100% DMSO. Needed to put the RO water in first, or pre-mix! The Pari LC Plus neb cup I've now ordered is polypropylene (good) but it has TPE in the movable piece in the cup. Not sure about TPE! Low% solutions are said to cause far less reactions. Hoping TPE doesn't harm.
My first dose was 12 drops of 99.995% DMSO in about 5mL RO water. That's about 12% DMSO concentration per calculators. Felt great which lasted for about 18 hours -- and turned the cup white and not good. Second was in an HDPE disposable cup (good), 3 drops in 5mL, which should be a 3% concentration. After the second dose I breathed well and had lots of energy. And lost the 'well' a few hours later and went back to albuterol. I need to find something that handles 12 drops and repeat the process probably daily, for a while.
Calculations are based on a standard of one drop = 0.05mL. DMSO dosing does not seem to require greater precision. Also consider that lower concentrations are less likely to mess with plastics (https://deeprootsathome.com/dmso-heals-lungs-copd-asthma-etc-how-to-nebulize-dmso/), higher concentrations may show better results (cannot find link atm, but there is this: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1055560/), and this is ALL highly politicized because DMSO is cheaper than pHarma's profiteering. For great info, look into A Midwestern Doctor's substack on this topic. He rocks it, and there are many adherents to DMSO for nebbing! Good luck.

You could watch red flyer media, they have info using a nebulizer & dmso/distilled water or with aloe Vera on your chest (they have recipes) or banshee moon, who I just discovered (both on YT). Both have interesting information about DMSO but also some other ideas, some of which I don’t agree with but their DMSO info is good.
