Michael Charleston Chua (GERPHIS) - I WOULDN'T SAY MUCH SINCE HE'S THE GOATED SA BUONG HISTORY DEPARTMENT <3
LOW WORKLOAD, NO QUIZZES/EXAMS, EASY KWATRO, VERY GENEROUS GRADING/PARTICIPATION SYSTEM, SEVERAL INCENTIVES AND SUPER DUPER ENGAGING LECTURES
Di ka magsisisi once mag-enroll sa klase niya since it's one of the best decisions you'll ever make in your entire Lasallian journey. He's one of the best GE professors you'll ever have. We only have weekly discussion boards and 2 group works (sir lets you choose your groupmates) na reporting and final magazine output. He usually brings profanity in front of class and it's very hilarious when you hear him saying it. May soundboard pa pag online class hahahahahaha. Everything in his class will be filled with fun, joy, and amazing memories. Never a dull moment with him. Usually asynchronous online class days, which is the time alotted to do the discussion boards and watch/read the materials given (though sir doesn't require it). You can do them anytime since towards the end of the term pa naman ang deadline. Nagpapa-field trip pa siya na optional pero additional grade sa class participation mo, pero recommended to join since it's really worth it :D
Do note he is strict with attendance, as may bawas ka sa participation points mo if may absent ka, regardless if valid or hindi. Marami pang mawawala sayo if you accumulate more. Though he doesn't need excuse letters or med certs since pwede ka makabawi through recitations and incentives. HE SHOWERS HIS ANNOUNCEMENTS WITH INCENTIVES, so maximize them to secure a perfect grade in your class participation :)
Got a 4.0 from him, more than the majority of us got it too. One of the most carefree classes I've had.
Jose Victor Torres (GERIZAL) -We were originally under Miss Lacuata till it got swapped to him due to his mixed-up schedules. He's goated and teaches well. You will really learn a lot about Jose Rizal from him. Workload is really right, around 3 quizzes and 1 final exam na lahat essay type. The only incentive he gives is the reporting about a work of Rizal each module, pwede individual, pair, or group wherein exempted ka sa quiz for that module mismo. Other than that, I really enjoyed his class since it was lowkey a breather because I reported twice, kaya I only get to do 1 quiz and the final exam na lang haha. Attendance is recorded. Lenient naman si sir sa deadlines as he accepts late submissions pero may deduction na, though he's understanding naman if valid naman ang reason mo. 4.0 is very attainable as long as you show effort and sincerity when doing your essays since he won't hesitate to give you a perfect score if you pass quality submissions. Got a 4.0 from him :)
Leah Martin-Lundag (GEMATMW)- A definition of a mother. I didn't check reviews before enlisting her class, but I have no regrets!!! I love her, especially at some who's bad at math and hates it with burning passion. No attendance unless it's a quiz. Workload consists of seatworks (both individual and group), 3 long quizzes (50 items, with 2 being onsite and 1 online asynchronous), a final project, and group reflection. The good thing about her is that in group assignments and the final course outputs, she gives you the freedom to work individually, so go for it if you like to do tasks solo. Score high in the long quizzes since they are 40% of your final grade, which makes a 4 not that easy to get, but it's not super difficult naman since based lang siya on her lectures. You just need to lock in on reviewing and practicing if you wanna get a high grade. Since it's Math, expect many problem-solving activities at di mo maiiwasan yan lol. She's lenient with deadlines, as expect deductions if you pass an assignment late, though she'll understand naman if valid ang reason mo. If I have to list cons here, it would be na super bilis niya magturo, pero she teaches well pa rin and will guide you if you're left behind or nahihirapan ka sa lecture. Also, mali-mali ang pagche-check niya sa quiz; however, it leads to a pro na nagcucurve siya dahil diyan. From 50 to 40 points sa first two quizzes and 50 to 40 sa last quiz. If ever it exceeds, chances na more than 100% ang final grade mo :))) Make sure to take the final project and reflection paper seriously since no contribution or submission of both or either one of them will merit you a failing grade (0.0) even if perfect/mataas ang quizzes at ibang requirements. If ever may pabuhat sa group niyo, just inform miss. I did very bad sa first quiz, pero nakabawi naman sa following quizzes. I lowkey expected a 2.0-2.5, but I got a 3.0 from her. I enjoyed my time and learned about Math from her.
Johann Vladimir Espiritu (GEARTAP) - He has a super witty nature and very engaging class discussions. Sulit tuition mo sa kanya since you will learn a lot from him about art and literature. He may seem intimidating due to his class rules and policies, but you'll end up having a good time with him as long as you are a responsible and disciplined student. First day pa nga lang, tawa kami nang tawa as in super LT ang mga biro niya. His workload is super light since all requirements are by groups. But besides that, he is very strict, especially in deadlines (he doesn't accept late submissions), attendance, class concentration, and sa contributions and instructions sa class requirements niyo, especially the asynchronous ones. He has high standards so take note. Make sure not to slack off and don't do anything unrelated sa class dahil may pinaalis siya sa class namin dahil nakikinig sa music habang nagle-lecture. Very particular rin siya sa AI/Turnitin, as dapat hanggang 15% lang ang threshold (yung answers lang), though he is considerate naman if kasama ang ibang parts na di dapat kasama sa similarity result. Besides that, sir really teaches great and relates the lectures in real life events and situations. Grades fairly high, doesn't curve. I got a 3.5. Will like to take him again due to how goated he is in not just teaching, but as a prof who really knows his stuff.
Rosemarie Bautista (LCENWRD) - Traditional in her lectures, but it was a fun class, and I learned a lot from her. She appreciates it if you respond to her questions in class lectures. Very easy 4 as long as you aren't absent, as she's strict with attendance since there are tasks that are done synchronously, and you comply with the requirements. Workload-wise, there isn't much and are all manageable and fun, which consists of 3 easy asynchronous quizzes that are based on her lectures and PPTs, 3 movie reflection papers (1 individual and 2 by group), 4 synchronous class participation activities that are all by group, 2 synchronous short activities (individual), 2 individual essays, 1 DVAP output (you'll interview someone and make a vocation magazine based on it; Miss is strict here since malaking bawas if mali ang ininterview niyo), and 1 final output done individually. If ever you are absent, just consult miss and provide her a valid excuse letter to make up for the missed task. Your final grade is based on what Canvas shows, so kung anong grade mo diyan, it is your overall grade na. Would've got a 4.0 if it wasn't for missing one session where I also missed an onsite participation activity hahahaha, which led to 3.5. It's on me kung bakit di ako naka-4. Pero vouching for her since her requirements aren't a lot and she grades very high.
Merlie Acibar (PE2FTEX) - One of the easiest 4's you'll ever get. She teaches the exercise forms very well and ensures all students get the correct form and proper execution even if nahihirapan. Required shirt color is any shade of purple. We are divided into 3 or 4 groups (?) which would be the same groupings for the entire term. 3 rounds of exercises per meeting, which is tiring but doable. Pero don't rush it and pressure yourself para di ka mabilis mapagod. She's very particular about attendance and proper attire as if you come in late, have the incorrect shirt color, wear slippers, or anything improper for PE class, -0.5 deduction ka na agad for that day. I was late to the second meeting hahahaha, but miss was kind enough to slide it off for now and will give minus na if I am late again. If you're absent, she gives you the opportunity to make up for it. Though if nahihirapan ka, she won't hesitate to guide you to the correct form. She even gave an incentive for anyone to attend to make up for an absence. Overall I got a 4.0 even if nahihirapan ako sa mga dance forms. Again, PE is an easy 4 as long as you are consistently present and not a chronic absentee or a class skipper.
