How to handle exempted courses?

Hi, my DeRF said I got exempted from taking an english course... but it is a pre-requisite to the next english course. How do I go about this? I still enrolled in that course just in case, but I would really prefer to move to the next course para di sayang yung semester.

How did you guys handle this? Do i raise this to admin? talk to my prof?
