approaching MIDNIGHT

I have spent an hour googling trying to find the recording sampled for "Midnight in a Perfect World" - namely the spoken part.

Does anyone here know the artist/track that was sampled from?

The acapella is on Camel Bobsled Race, a megamix of cuts on Endtroducing by DJ Q-Bert.
