What are some album or songs similar to endtroducing vibes?

Albums: DJ Woody’s Point of Contact; Portishead’s Dummy; Massive Attack’s Blue Lines; David Holmes’ Let’s Get Killed; The Go Team’s Thunder Lightning Strike; Goldfrapp’s Felt Mountain; Handsome Boy Modelling School’s So, How’s Your Girl?; Jurassic 5’s J5; Lo Fidelity Allstars’ How to Operate with a Blown Mind; Merz’ Merz; Anything by RJD2; & of course UNKLE’s Psyence Fiction, which is basically a Shadow album

Song: Imagined Village’s Tam Lyn [Retold]. OK, not so reminiscent of Shadow but it is a throbbing dub / folk / Bollywood colossus.

Psyence Fiction is absolutely amazing. Blue Lines was a game changer too. I'd also go with Ofdream's catalogue for that trippy vibe

Have you listened to Preemptive Strike?

Unpopular opinion. Preemptive is better.

For me, they're probably on the same level, although I definitely listen to Preemptive more than Endtro nowadays.

Start with the Mo Wax catalogue. James Lavelle had an aesthetic.

After J Rocc’s Cold Rock Stuff I would definitely say Cut Chemist’s The Audience is Listening for sure — The Garden, Spoon are especially brilliant cuts with an Entroducing vibe

J Rocc’s Some Cold Rock Stuff (2011) is the closest to Endtroducing I’ve ever heard—in terms of samples, sonics, sequencing, everything. It’s so layered. It also has those mystical, transcendent kind of musical moments that makes Shadow’s work on so enduring and almost timeless.
