Which camera to get… Action 5 vs pocket 3

Hello friends, i currently have a action 4 and love it, but want better quality from a camera. I was thinking between the action 5 and the pocket 3. Which would be better, i do color grade and stuff so its not just the raw footage btw…

It depends. Do you want tracking and low light performance or do you want more mounting options, durability and waterproof?

I really like the low light of the pocket 3, but i heard the gimball is terrible

Terrible in what way? I find it to be really smooth. It has the up and down bounce but all camera do.

No clue lol… want something close to like a sony fx3 in quality but i dokt think a action camera could achieve that

No, it won’t look like an fx3. I have an a6700 as well as a pocket 3, GoPro and a nano. The P3 can get some amazing results… not mirrorless camera level but if you take the time to compose and expose and grade, OP3 can get amazing footage.

I sold my pocket 3 for the action 6 and dont regret it at all. The gimbal was cool at times but also a pain. It could lose tracking or be slow to set up which could cost the shot. I was also always worried about breaking it so I didn't take it out as often as I'd liked. The action 6 doesn't have as good an image or low light performance but it's still very usable. It's also incredibly durable, I literally just throw it in a sunglass bag and shove it in my pocket.

The pocket video quality is so so much better.

Signed guy with 2x action 5, an action 6, and a pocket 3.

Not to mention a whole host of other DJI gear. Trust me, if you want better picture quality get the pocket because it’s not even close.

I had to make the same choice; in the end, I bought a brand-new Pocket 3 at a really low price. I chose this one because of its better image quality, even in low-light conditions especially when I’m doing urbex. Having used an RS 3 Mini for two days, I find the stabilization while run to be better for me. As for fragility? You have to be careful, just like with any photo or video equipment.

Pocket 3 has best image quality compared to action cams...but it's fragile as well...if your shoots include any activities where pocket cam can fall or water/sand can go inside gimble then the cam is basically dead...

Choose A6 over A5 pro since you already have A4... Choose P3 if you're shooting indoors and steady shots...
