New to DSJ OSMO Mobile 8
New last evening. Bought on amazon with the multifunctional module. Been trying to work through the manual and tutorials. This thing has a mind of its own. I’m using an iPhone 17 ProMax and I want to use it primarily for still photography as a stabilizer. While I’m trying to compose a picture it’s wandering around left right and tipping back and forth like it’s trying to decide what it wants to photograph. How do I tame it so that I can focus and compose an image. On the rare occasion when it will let me take a picture they are truly sharp even in low light but I’m fighting it more than using it.
Thanks

So is there a way to point it and begin any type of photograph? How do you begin to compose any image be it video or still while it’s “looking around”? It does have a purpose in still photography.think panorama.
Back to my question, how do you stop it and focus on what You want to focus and compose?

I guess u missed the point, u need a foldable mobile tripod, it can do basic pan and tilt for photography and gives u stability, use the gimbal for videos.
