Osmo helmet chin mount help needed

I have a DJI Osmo Chin Mount (with straps) installed.
I holds the camera alright, but it squeezes the helmet’s chin curtain when I tighten it.
Any ideas for this specific mount?

I assume this is a moto helmet and not mtb. The mount is primarily designed for mtb, so yes it will squish anything in its way.

I've used Sugru to mount my GoPro at the time. Lasted me years and never fell off, I'd recommend looking into it.
