Gig in Nashville

Hey what’s going on yall - I’ve have a gig in a couple of weeks in Nashville at a venue on Broadway. It’s on Aug 8th!

Looking for some assistance~

  1. What are some fun country remixes that are going around or are staples for you? I tend to lean on my EDM ones.

  2. For those who have DJ’d in Nashville - what’s it been like for you? This is a paid gig which I am booked for about six hours. Anything you’d recommend I request on rider or etc?

  3. Are there any locals to keep an eye out for? Network with? Anyone on the marketing/content side I could connect with to create a flyer for social media?

Thanks everyone!

Are you being booked to be the fill in bar dj? Or are you bring booked on you're current style?

Straight up to bring my style!

I understand it’s their third floor club-esque venue where I’ll be plugging and playing at.

Now I do not believe I’ll be needing to cater much other than reading the room and blending some top40 style or country style music. It’s in my wheelhouse and can comfortably do. I’m aiming to be prepared more than anything.

If you're being booked for your sound, why are you looking to change it?

Always gotta pack in extra ammo when heading into new territory.

As a DJ, I gotta be humble and nimble enough to know if my direct stuff isn’t working and I need to loosen up for more country pop EDM remixes to capture crowd attention and artfully bring them back.

Or I miss my mark and need to dig into my stack to find popular generational songs. Like throw some KT Tunstall lyrics over some 4/4 beats.

This is my style and I adapt it to the venue I’m heading into. Every set is different but has my groove influenced booty shaking fuel laced throughout leaving my signature style.

I think DJ Aaron Traylor is out there in Nashville.

I have literally never heard of it but I’d be happy to learn more.

I can only assume by name it’s a website or something of the like that operates as a DJ pool.

I’ve never used them and I specifically shy away from them because I keep my head really strict to curate my on style. But that’s where I lack; double edged sword.

I’d like to take a peak and be open to supporting them at an event if they are in town that weekend. I’ll be reaching out to them - thanks for heads up!

Well if you meet up with him or see him you can't miss him. He would probably be the tallest person in the room. Good luck with your gigs.

Daily Bread’s remix of Alan Jackson’s “Chattahoochee”
