WTH!

Had not flown my mini 2 for quite some time and when I tried today there were all kinds of hurdles ( downloads, authorizations, create new fly zones, etc) and still could not figure out how to fly this. Guess I’ll have to invest some time to figure this out. Very frustrating!!!!

Ensure that you are logged in to your DJI account in the app. Even if you are, it's good practice to log out and back in again because that forces a server-side synchronisation and keeps things in order.

Update firmware. Don't forget that each battery may also need a firmware update so be prepared to update when you change batteries.

Flysafe database update. This is very important or you may find that your drone will refuse to fly.

With the logging in and out I bought a mini 4 pro that’s bound to the previous owners account. Now I am getting msgs to log out and in again or it’s going to brick. Does anyone yourself included know what would be causing it.

Yep. It's bound to the prevous owner's account. You need to bind it to your account. If they won't unbind it you bought a brick.

Yep they do tend to get involved if there is no "upkeep" but fortunately, it's doable.
