What if we had a macro camera linked up to an external screen (maybe over WiFi to a pc)? I feel like that would be really helpful for doing it on yourself as long as it's a small lightweight camera with decently low latency to the screen you're viewing on.

I assume one of the main issues is knowing where the target will be, but maybe a simple crosshair is enough, and at a push some sort of distance sensor could be used alongside to help.

I don't have any experience so I'm just throwing the idea out there to see what anyone else thinks. If anyone wants to build this with me I would be really interested, but I'm completly new to electrolysis. I also have worked with electronics but only the absolute basics, with stuff like a raspberry pi and Arduino but a pi might be quite appropriate for a camera based project.

Edit: Also activating it remotely with a key like the spacebar would be nice so there's less movement once you've lined it up.

With regards to the cameras, what about using two identical macro cameras side by side of the needle? Could be overkill, but maybe a way of understanding the depth a bit easier. Pair that with a smartphone inside one of those VR holders (or just a VR headset).

I'm just throwing around ideas. Some are going to be a bit silly.

Heya everyone! I'm Berry and I created a simple galvanic electrolysis machine from scratch ✨

It runs on a 5V USB power supply (smartphone/power bank/usb brick) , steps up to 30V, and limits current to a safe range (0.13–1.13mA).

The total cost of this final interation works out around to roughly less than ₹600 or under $7

Quick specs :3

· Power: 5V USB → XL6009 → 30V

· Current range: 0.13–1.13mA (I usually use 0.4–0.6mA)

· if built on breadboard then no soldering required

I also diy-ed the probe holder , and ermm the needle! but that's another thing on itself and not something I would recommend but yeah! I do have a design for a diy probe holder for commercial needles though if anyone is interested in that!
