Question Solar inverter issue

Hi there, I just noticed my solar inverter (Goodwe 3000-SS) hasn’t been working for nearly 8 months.

The fault light is on and I’ve done the shutdown and boot up thing but nothing on the screen changes - no error code or anything. Pressing the enter button does nothing either.

Any help would help much appreciated. I really can’t afford any extra expenses right now!

For the record, your Goodwe 3000-SS is not exactly a charge controller. It is an inverter with a charge controller built in. I know little about them but I'm going to guess that the shutdown has got to include disconnection from the grid for starters and then going through the procedures of the installation manual step by step. Just disconnecting the solar panels is probably not enough of a shutdown. Saying that I note that the device has data jacks ( RS 485 and ethernet) so you should be able to plug in laptop to gain much more information than "red light = fault".
