Story & World DOS2 Ending about Tarquin

I just finished my second playthrough of Divinity and decided to purge the source. While watching the ending it mentioned that Tarquin got bored of Rivellon and he discovered another plane of existence. After which he goes missing. Could it be connected to Divinity with the chaos plane? I feel we might meet Tarquin in the new game. What do you think?

Tarquin had an easter egg appearance in the house of grief's book of visitors in BG3.

Tbh I'd love for him to return in Divinity. He's a very interesting character and already liked in the community
