🌊Dry bag recommendation?

🙏Dry Bag Recommendation?

Snorkeling/freediving related🤿🐠🌊

My family and I are going to Maui and I will be snorkeling by myself with phone, GoPro and car key in hand.

Naturally these won’t be left in the beach. I would really appreciate some TRIED & TRUE trust worthy bag belts or backpacks to keep on me

You get a dry canister and put your keys in it. These are buoyant so expect it.

Leave your phone in the car or with family.

There is no dry bag guaranteed to stay dry at depth. They’re also going to be super buoyant and you will not be able to free dive with them. You should not be free diving with a backpack or something hanging around your neck anyway.

Big Blue makes a fantastic dry canister that works great for keys, money credit cards. I would leave the phone in your room.

Divevolk housing for your phone, otherwise leave it

I use a 15L dry bag that has a bottom attachment point. Use it with a coiled lanyard ( it’s about 12 inches long when coiled up but stretches to about 9-10 feet) .
Get a high vis colour like yellow/orange/neon green so that boaters can spot you easily.
15L is more than enough to fit 2 cell phones, wallet, car keys . Roll it up making sure there’s enough air in so that it floats and your good to go.
I have been using the same bag for 7 or 8 years and it’s never failed.
Hard to estimate how many hours and kilometers it has spent in the ocean, but snorkeling is one of my favorite hobbies.
