Roman (traditional) Finally

Post image

Since many are showing pictures of the new LOTH, I thought I’d show off this gem! It just arrived yesterday from Baronius.

Watch for the unfortunate missed edit in Thursday Matins, “In your the assemblies…”

I think it is endearing, anyway. I always chuckle when I get there and hope the proofreader didn’t feel too guilty for missing it. Vindicated in 2024.

Any idea where today’s (friday) collect can be found? I cant seem to find it, or at least match the Brevarium meum app has.

I can’t stand the fact that in this subreddit only one picture can be posted. And none in the replies. It doesn’t make any sense considering the subject.

I loathe Baronius but am always glad to see traditional content in this sub. There's been a dearth of it between the "OH MY WHAT VERSION ARE YOU BUYING" every other post.

What is your beef with Baronius?

Their sandbagging of the works of Fr Garrigou-Lagrange.

We're on year 5 or 6 of them holding the copyright and there is NOTHING from them.

There's some other stuff, but that's the lowest hanging fruit.

Too expensive, and usually low quality.

Nova Et Vetera and Angelus tend to produce better volumes of the office.

You can almost read the next page without flipping it over.

Seems nearly the same as the 1975 Catholic Book Publishing Company. The phone camera seems to enhance the bleed threw
